“the Orange County Register will say that no one came”

But they’d be wrong! Thanks for all the support guys! Here’s a birthday present FROM Erin: the pro-defense-of-higher-ed, anti-noisy-toddlers anthem “All Those Kids”:

[vocals: Erin; keyboards: me; drums: Ben] This is another new song that our former keyboard player Matt brought the band during his recent visit (aka the best quiet band reunion session ever), though he only had the concept and the chorus.  For the verses, Erin was asked to improvise lyrics, and they ended up coming out so well that we kept almost all of them.

Still, I didn’t think that we could reproduce the song without Matt on keyboard until we discovered a shredding patch on the MicroKORG that convinced me to play keyboards with the band for the first time ever.  The song went over well as the closer of our regular set on Friday but this version is from the final practice before the show when we were less exhausted.

THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!
